The BCCI has announced its player contracts for the 2023-24 season, with Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah among those retaining Grade A status.
The contracts also saw several promotions and demotions, with Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill among the biggest beneficiaries.
Notable omissions from the list include Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Agarwal, Hanuma Vihari, Wriddhiman Saha, and Deepak Chahar.

As we can see, there are some major changes in the contracts list this year. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah have retained their Grade A contracts, while Ravindra Jadeja has been promoted to Grade A+.
Hardik Pandya is the only player in Grade A+ this year. Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav have both been promoted to Grade B, while several players have retained their contracts in Grades B and C.
It’s worth noting that several players have not been retained, including Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma, and Wriddhiman Saha. It will be interesting to see how these changes affect the Indian cricket team’s performance in the upcoming season.
